We go beyond the fundamentals of wheel throwing and cover the next level of wheel throwing techniques and applications. Our experienced tutor offers expert advise and guidance. Intro to Hand Building
Build your ceramics skill set and explore the world of hand building in this 10 week course. Learn the basics of coil building, slab building and mould making to create your own sculptural wares. Ideal for beginners or as a refresher course. Basic tools and a bag of clay will be provided. Ticket price include studio hire daily fee and firing fees for one piece. TIME: 10am - 2pm or DATE: Saturday 18 September TIME: 10am - 2pm COST: $65 or $60 for Pottery/BFF members Experience the exciting Japanese technique of raku firing. Mal Butterworth will take you on an informative journey through the raku firing process. Bring your bisque fired pieces or there will be small bowls available to purchase @ $10. Three glazes will be made available or bring your own!! Pieces must be made of raku clay, so we have no explosions to ruin other works. Long pants & sleeves and closed shoes required. |
