EXHIBITION OPENING
Saturday 17 May, 4.00pm - 6.00pm Join us as we celebrate the opening of three new exhibitions at the Cooroy Butter Factory Arts Centre! On May 17, 4pm – 6pm, we will be opening three solo exhibitions by local artists. Immerse yourself in the wildness, imperfection and strength of Australia’s native florals in Jasmine Veronique’s The Dance of Wildflowers: A celebration of our Native Flora. Pippa Makgill’s installation, We Don’t Talk About Bruno, invites you to engage with the whimsical notion of paintings without walls. In the Butter Box, Ren Jeske’s Conversations with Nature is a visceral response to the land on which she lives; its shifting surfaces, weathered textures, and quiet, unfolding rhythms. |

About Ren
Ren Jeske’s work is an immersive dialogue with nature-an exploration of movement, mark-making, and organic textures that capture the felt sense of the land. After a career in London as a ceramicist and art educator, Jeske moved home to Australia and shifted her focus to the intersection of art and healing, she re-trained and has been practicing as a Creative Arts Therapist for over a decade. Now returning to her own artistic practice, she works with mixed media on paper, embracing fluidity, unpredictability, and embodied presence. Under the mentorship of Sunshine Coast Abstract Painter Amy Clarke, Jeske’s work transcends traditional landscapes, revealing the unseen rhythms of the natural world. Each piece is a record of interaction between body, material, and place-offering viewers an invitation to experience nature through sensation, movement and mark-making. A theme that runs deeply through her work with others.
