Volunteering Opportunities

The Butter Factory Arts Centre, Cooroy is currently seeking a diverse range of volunteers to assist in the running of the Gallery and its many activities.

The Butter Factory Arts Centre is a not-for-profit regional arts centre in Cooroy which presents a diverse program of exhibitions, workshops, performances and community events within the character of the 1930’s factory building.  From January 2016 the Arts Centre is being managed by the Cooroy Future Group. The Butter Factory Arts Centre has three gallery spaces and a pottery studio.  Workshops are conducted in the Butter Box space.
 
Volunteers play an important part in the community based vibe of the Butter Factory Arts Centre, providing vital support to the running of the space. They bring interest and skills to the everyday protocols of the gallery and from this experience, learn vital skills and develop a good knowledge of the industry along with creating valuable connections.
 
The Butter Factory Arts Centre is currently seeking volunteers for the following positions:
  • Exhibition install and demount
  • Gallery meet and greet (3 hour shifts)
  • Event assistance – exhibition openings, morning teas, etc.
  • Working with children – holiday programs and monthly Saturday Get Creative  

Volunteering at the Butter Factory Arts Centre can be regular, casual or on call.
