You have been selected to exhibit in BFAC first colloboration with WINDO in a Womans Art Exhibition for International Womens Day, named ‘Illuminate’ Online entry is preferred however we will accept entry by paper to BFAC with jpeg images on a USB,either post or drop in to BFAC Number of works per participant Participants may submit up to three works.
New work Work submitted must be recent and have been executed in the 12 months prior March 2019
Subject matter Contemporary *Landscapes of Women Imagined *The subjects reference to landscapes invites a commentary on social, cultural or political landscapes. You have been chosen as your proposal EOI matched the subject so please ensure you prepare an artwork statement that is relevant as these will be on display.
Artworks can be in any medium 2D, 3D, installation, or multimedia.
Jpegs of Artworks Each artwork submitted for Illuminate exhibition must be accompanied with a .jpg format, digital image. All images must be labeled to match entry form with artwork details (Artistname_artworktitle_exhibitiontitle), eg. MARTINZoe_positiveimage_illuminate_(photogpher name(if required)) Jpegs must be larger than 500 KB and no bigger than 2 MB. If artworks aren’t named to convention, we cannot accept your entry. Credit Photographers of your work by adding their name to the END of your file name eg. MARTINZoe_positiveimage_Illuminate2019_photobyaliciasharples
Promotion & Photography of Work Entrants agree to allow reproduction of their work in part or in whole for publicity and promotional purposes only of Illuminate2019. The BFAC will attribute the artist wherever practical. If the BFAC uses such images for the promotion of the BFAC, then the result of that use is the intellectual property of the BFAC. If the photo of your work was not taken by you please credit the photographer at the end of your image file name eg. _photobyaliciasharples
Sale of Artworks Commission of 35% from sales of artwork is paid to the Gallery. All artwork must be for sale. Artists set the retail price on the entry form. Payments for sales will be forwarded to you within one month of the end of exhibition.
2D Artwork The size of a 2D artwork is maximum 900mm wide (including frame). Must NOT have one side more than 1.5 m in length. Unless permission granted from curator.
All artworks must be suitably presented for hanging; 2D works must be dry with properly affixed ‘D’ rings and firmly attached hanging wire. The Curator has the right to refuse works deemed not suitable for hanging.
For bas or low relief work - materials must NOT protrude more than 100 mm.
3D Artwork Must NOT be larger than 1.5 metres square with a height restriction of 1.5 metres. 3D artworks must be free standing, have a stable base and be no heavier than 15 kg per component.
Installations Requiring floor or wall space will NOT be more than 1.5 m x 1.5 m square.
Multimedia There is limited capacity for multimedia art. Please indicate what your screening requirements are. to contact us to discuss before lodging your entry form.
Fragile work There is limited capacity to protect work – it may not be possible to meet all requests and work may have to be declined.
Withdrawal of Work Works must be available for viewing for the entire duration of the exhibition.
Delivery of Artworks upon selection
All artwork to be delivered to the venue of the BFAC,Wednesday 27th February 2019 10am- 12noon. The artist warrants that the work is original and does not infringe the copyright, moral rights or other rights of any third party. The artist indemnifies the BFAC against any loss resulting from breach of these warranties. Each piece must be clearly marked with name, address, contact details and title of work and sale price.
Collection of Art Work All unsold work must be collected between 1pm and 3pm Tuesday 2nd April
Other While all reasonable care will be taken, the BFAC will accept no responsibility for damage to work during installation, display or dismantling of the exhibition. The participating artist is responsible for: a) insurance of all works for the duration of the exhibition including delivery and collection and b) delivery, collection and any associated costs of works entered in the exhibition.
Entry Fee
Accepted entries must pay a $20 entry fee per artist. An invoice will be sent once your entry form is complete. Entry Fee includes GST. All proceeds from entry fees fund exhibition-related expenses.

DO NOT submit an entry form if you cannot follow through. Do not double-book your work, commit it to other conflicting exhibitions, or sell it without securing its availability for our exhibit, after submitting to this exhibition.
