BFAC invites artists to submit works for consideration in the the BFAC’s annual Art of the Body Exhibition, an exhibition celebrating the beauty of the human form from a variety of perspectives. The subject matter for artworks is the human figure and 2D, 3D and multimedia are accepted. The exhibition is scheduled at the Butter Factory Arts Centre from 5 April – 7 May 2019 to coincide with the Australian Body Art Festival being held in Cooroy (6-7 April 2019). The Australian Body Art Festival attracted huge crowds of 7000 visitors!!!!!!
Interested artists should complete an entry form below, with up to 3 artworks, by Wednesday 13th March. No late entries will be considered. Online entry process is preferred. However, paperwork may be mailed to BFAC with accompanying images on a USB, Please note images must be labelled according to file name conventions stated on the entry form.
It is anticipated that artists will be notified by Friday 22 March 2019 should they be successful in their application. BFAC reserves the right to exercise curatorial judgment based on the number and type of work proposed. Invitation to exhibit is not guaranteed to all who submit an entry form.
ENTRY FEE Upon selection, artists will be required to pay an entry fee of $20.00 per artwork Once your works have been selected you will be invoiced.
The BFAC is run by a non-profit community organization that needs income to keep the facility open. All proceeds from entry fees fund exhibition-related expenses.
